Meet the Team
Samantha Skoriak, CFE
Samantha began her career as a Trust & Estates paralegal while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management with a concentration in economics and crime from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. She has worked as a paralegal for over 20 years focusing in the areas of probate, administration and judicial accounting proceedings.Samantha’s interest in asset misappropriation and self-dealing by fiduciaries encouraged her to further develop her forensic investigative skills. Samantha obtained her second Bachelor’s Degree in Fraud Examination and Financial Forensics. This allowed her to further expand on her knowledge of forensic accountings. She presented at the Capstone Symposium in December of 2018. She is presently working toward her license as a Certified Public Accountant. In 2019, she received her license as a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. An active member of the fraud fighting community, she is a member of the New York City Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Women in the Anti-Fraud Profession community. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of a non-profit mental health clinic. She continues to work as a senior paralegal providing litigation support focused in the in areas of judicial accountings and estate litigation at the firm of Berkman Henoch.
